CALL ME
Premiering as the first interactive work on Adelaide's giant public pixel display: the Rundle Lantern, 'Call Me' invited audience members to use their mobile phones to manipulate the towering display with the distinct qualities of their own voice. Dialling the Lantern's number opened an audio link within which audience members gurgle, sing and shout to create myriads of kaleidoscopic artworks upon the 70 foot tall light display.
The work ran from July 31 - August 22, 2010 at various times from sunset to midnight during the South Australian Living Artist Festival.
The work was supported by both SALA Festival and the Adelaide City Council.
